  1. A theatre is a performance by actors for an 
  2. audience. It may include drama, dancing, 
  3. music, mime, and puppets. The term is also 
  4. used for the place or building in which 
  5. dramatic performances take place. Theatre 
  6. history can be traced to Egyptian religious 
  7. ritualistic drama as long ago as 3200 BC. The 
  8. first known European theatres were in Greece 
  9. from about 600 BC.
